Hot to add the attribute 'itemprop="image"' to the img tag of the thumbnail?

Hi!
I’ve been searching among all the files of this plugin but i just cant understand how i would be able to add the itemprop=”image” to the image thumbnail of the related posts. It should be placed inside the <img…> tag.
Its for schema.org markup
Would someone help me out on this please?
