Hours in the left grid

Do you mean showing the times directly on the grid next to the event title? If so, that is not currently part of the way the plugin works at this time.

It sure would be nice to be able to display the time for the event without having to hover over the event title on the calendar.

Yeah it is a somewhat common feature request. I’m sure we will be discussing it at some point.
