    Hello

I was looking for information on how to setup the opening hours but I find the setup confusing, at least.

Starting from the plugins panel in WordPress, it takes me to “Options > We’re Open!”.

After I add the widget to a footer area, it displays a message for me to setup first the opening hours. Ok, I click the “Settings” button…. It takes me to “Options > We’re Open!”.

So out of curiosity, I noticed the “We’re Open!” option right on the left side of WordPress admin. I think your settings should be all in the same place, instead of having to go to 2 different places. It would make the process a whole lot easier, faster, and with less people asking unnecessary stuff.

Right, I setup my opening hours but they still don’t appear. What is missing now?

    Cheers

@msdesignfoto There are two recommended steps, the first step is entirely optional:

    1. Go to settings to establish the preference for your opening hours such as including closed days and the date formatting
    2. Go to the We’re Open! section in the Dashboard to set your actual opening hours

Does this cover this in a straight-forward way for you?

    Hello

Yes I ended up doing both those steps already. I configured the opening hours, from 10 am to 12 pm everyday. I’ve setup my timezone before that. Everything is saved. I added the “We’re Open” widget to the footer and the opening hours do not appear.

    Cheers

@msdesignfoto I’ve checked your page and it’s likely that all the days are marked as “closed” and closed is marked as hidden.

    1. Check that your opening hours are set in the main Dashboard | We’re Open! management page
    2. In the Widget, ensure Closed pages are showing (if you want this)

I hope this helps you move forward.

In another note: I will look into a link or button in the Settings section to make it easier to jump back to the opening hours management page.

I’ve unchecked the option “Show closed days” and now the table is shown. Maybe this is related to the closing hours? The thing is: my client’s opening hours are from 10 am to the midnight. Or technically speaking, until the 00:00 of the next day.

This is strange, because now it should not display the closed days. But they are sown now.

@msdesignfoto I can see that all days are showing as 10:00 – 00:00. The days are consolidated using “all days”. Is this how you want it to appear?

If something is behaving unexpectedly, I can replicate the issue and fix it in the next release.

Yes, my client has the store opening everyday in a shopping center, except now due to the pandemic, the store is closed. I added an html note bellow the opening hours about that issue.

Anyway now the plugin is working ok now. I’m just waiting for the client to see the changes.

    Cheers

@msdesignfoto If you want to use the Regular Opening Hours, you have an option to only show these in the Widget – this way you can send accurate Structured Data to Google about the on-going temporary closure.
