As you know, WooCommerce does not provide a separate field for the house number which is important for German and Austrian addresses.

Does your plugin have a good enough logic to split the house number from the “Address 1” field and enter it into the right position on the label?

House numbers in Germany are usaully just numbers, “52” for example. However in Austria they are very different with 3 parts to them often and include letters. How does your system do that?

Adding this info on “Address 2” is not suitable, as that field is for extra information which you require for French shipping addresses for example, which are very long.

Hey Dav74,

We have the same issue in The Netherlands and I already did a request at WooCommerce if they could change this but they don’t see any point because nobody complains.

To solve your problem you have to install an extra plugin named: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woo-checkout-field-editor-pro/

As mentioned here, it is up to the shop owner to modify the checkout fields.

DHL Paket does not support Austria anymore. The plugin assumes address 2 is the house number and if it is missing assumes the last part of address 1 as the house number.

I am guessing that WooCOmmerce are not goign to listen to us, as no one else has plus 1 your request. Strange – there must be thousands of DHL business customers who use WooCommerce and are struggling.
