Hover information shows data from a different file on the server

Hi there,

I have a question, we would like to create an interactive map on our website where you can follow the COVID-19 cases. Is it possible to link the information from the ECDC website, it is free to download, to the Interactive GEO maps? So it will showcase the numbers when someone would hover over a country.
