• Hi Joe

When the mouse is placed over the map while it is building up, you will never be able to zoom or pan the map with the mouse after, because the 2 second delay does not work.

You have to leave the map with the mouse and then reenter (hover). Only then, the 2 second delay works.

This is not optimal for the user, because he does not know and he thinks that the site does not work correctly.

Do you think this is something that can be corrected?

    Many thanks and best regards.

    Daniel.

    Hi @microteq,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Could you provide the exact steps to reproduce this behaviour so I can take a look?

    Cheers,

    Joe

    Hi Joe

I tried this with a collection of about 50 maps, which takes a bit longer to build up. This is why it is a bit easier for me to reproduce.

But the only thing you have to do is to make sure, the mouse is placed over the map when the page builds up (and not hover over the map after). Then the map cannot be zoomed or panned. This then only works, when you leave the map area with the mouse and then re-hover the mouse over the map.

Let me know, if you can reproduce.

    Many thanks and best regards.

    Daniel.

Thanks for the extra detail, I am able to replicate this now and will take a proper look when I get the chance.

    Hi Daniel,

I have just released version 0.9.28.1 of the plugin, which I believe resolves this issue.

Please do let me know if this is not the case for you.

    Cheers,

    Joe

    Hi Joe

Yes, this definitely works better. But there ist still a little issue. It only works, if you first move the mouse and only then the delay begins to start, and only then, the map can be zoomed.

This is still a bit confusing for unexperienced users, which do not know.

    Many thanks and best regards.

    Hi Joe

I do not think that there is a difference. On desktops, when the mouse is placed over the map before it starts to build up, I must still move the mouse, then wait for the timeout, then only I can zoom into the map.

    Many thanks and best regards.

    Hi @microteq,

This one is very annoying! :0) I will try again some other time.

    Hi @microteq,

I am curious if changing the new Collections > “Shortcode Method” Setting to Embed resolves this issue.
