• Hey there,

Surecart seems interesting. How are you going to handle GDPR things with the platform? It sounds really interesting to get the WordPress related queries out of the way so eCommerce folks can focus on what matters. But since the GDPR has been getting even stricter than before i thought i could ask about this.

Especially regarding so that EU data stays in EU. What kind of plans you have for this?

Thank you, Niko, for your question.

First I would like to share with you our terms pages that answer all of these type of questions:
    Terms https://surecart.com/terms/
    Privacy policy https://surecart.com/privacy/

We are following the same exact policies as all the online services you are already currently using.

Of course, what I believe you may be referring to the Schrems II rulings as they pertain to data privacy. The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) ruled that when you use the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as the basis for the transfer of personal data from the EU to the US (and a few other countries) on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses, extra scrutiny and safeguards must be in place.

Our DPA incorporates the new Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) published by the European Commission.

    Hope that helps.
