How are cookies disabled?

    I have configured a list of necessary cookies on my site, and also included optional Google Analytics cookies (_ga,_gid,_gat). In the plugin preference center, if a user opts out of receiving these analytics cookies, by toggling the switch button, how does the plugin ensure that these cookies are no longer sent? Is this taken care of some how within the plugin code?
