How are page preview and a live page different? (needed to troubleshoot)

  • Hi –

    How are the process for grabbing a page preview and a live page different?

    I’m hoping the answer helps me debug this situation: I have a site where the permalink isn’t working for the live page (it redirects to a different page), but for the preview, it works just fine – though the preview contains the same URL, with preview variables appended. I’m wondering if I may need a wp_reset_query somewhere… ?

    Solved the bug here – it’s just a broken plugin – though I’d still love to know how these two processes are different, if anyone knows or has a reference. Thanks. ??
