There is always talk of ‘cloud’ and ‘our server’ – what data is transferred here?
Are these processes 100% GDPR compliant?
In which country is the server located?
What exactly is the server needed for and does BerqWP continue to run without errors even if the server is down?

    Please explain/describe these processes completely.

    Hey there,

We only collect core web vitals metrics and page URLs as we have a Web Vitals Analytics tool that monitors CWV performance in realtime and you can disable it if you want. Apart from that, we process images, CSS, and JavaScript files. BerqWP performs many resource heavy tasks to optimize web pages such as critical CSS generation. Each page is sent to our server so it can perform all optimizations and return the optimized copy of that page. Our server is located in San Francisco, USA. If our server goes down, the plugin will stop creating new cache. By the way, we guarantee 99.9% uptime. Hope this answers your query.

Thank you for your answer. Yes it answers most of my questions. But you don’t write anything about GDPR conformity.

BerqWP itself follows GDPR guidelines. However, there is a transmission of IP addresses if you’ve enabled the CDN or Core Web Vitals tracking. But you have all the control to disable these features for your website, which makes BerqWP 100% GDPR compliant.
