How Best to Handle My Content?
-
I have a site that I’m converting to WP — iphonesatwork.com — that primarily features three types of content: News, Profiles (of business people using iPhones at work), and reviews of iPhone Apps.
I’m not sure how to handle these three so they each get the prominence they deserve.
One way is to let the News be the main blog and give Profiles and Apps their own pages. The problem with that is fourfold: 1) They don’t get on the home page; 2) Visitors have to click a Profiles or App Reviews link to get to them; 3) Pages, as far as I know, don’t categorize and store “posts” the way posts do; 4) They don’t get picked up by RSS(?).
Another option is write them all up as blog posts so they all get on the home page, but then precede each one with a label: “News: Blah Blah Blah,” “Review: Blah, Blah, Blah,” etc. (Ideally, rather than precede each entry with a label, it would be good to be able to put a “News,” “Profile” and “App Review” label _above_ a post’s headline (with it’s own font and style). Anyone know if that’s possible and how to do it?)
Thanks for any thoughts.
