How big is too big?

  • Hi just wondered if anyone knows, how big is too big for a wordpress database, we have a blog that is running slow so i moved hosts think that might help however it seems that, this didn’t solve the problem. I moved the blog back and noticed that the database was pretty large. Is 500mb+ too big? If so what can i do to make it smaller? – and will this speed the blog up?
