[Plugin: Relevanssi – A Better Search] How can I abbreviate the results?

Right now when I search I get the entire page that it found my search term on. I’d like to just get the page title and first couple lines of text maybe.

I saw the option for the Custom Snippets and it’s turned on and set to 450, but doesn’t appear to be working.

It mentions using the_excerpt() but I have no idea where that is supposed to go (couldn’t find it documented anywhere) so maybe that’s my problem.

Can anyone let me know where to put that piece of code?
