How can I add Categories to a menu item?

Hi, I see Att. Categories at your screenshot.
Also you use plugin for your menu, so if there is some modification/changes try to ask on support forum for that plugin.

Yes normally categories appear there. So it is probably related to your menu plugin, maybe some settings there to include categories?

Hi Peter, I’ve disabled the menu plugin since there where no such settings for including categories, and still the categories don’t appear here, only “Att. Categories” which are empty. I’ve checked and tried with another wp installation and it’s there as usual. I’ve no idea, why the categories disappeared?

I think in order for the categories to show, you need to have some posts that use that category

Hi, I have several post in several categories already. this is really strange.. Also I have no further plugin installed that may have “replaced” Categories box with “Att. Categories” which is now empty.

I have no idea, anyway that Att. categories are probably attachments categories from media library, not post categories ..

You’re, when deactivating the media library plugin, the “Att. categories” disappeared now, but still the “category” box isn’t there either. Any hint how to get them “back”`? thanks in advance.

I have no idea what can did this. Try disable all plugins or one by one, change to default theme that you are sure its not bc. some plugin or theme.
If not, then probably some database is corrupted so you have to repair it somehow ??
