You can only add fields to the Profile form via UM Form Builder. If you need to add custom tabs with custom forms, you can try the code snippet in the link:

The UM form builder has rows and column settings. Please go to WP Admin > UM > Forms > Edit a Profile Form. Please see the doc in the link:

i still cant get to with the UM form builder. cant i use any other wordpress plugin to just create that type of form?

Have you installed and activated the UM plugin? Once you’ve done that, you can go to WP Admin > Ultimate Member > Forms. You can add your forms there.
