How can I add the hreflang to the root of my WP blog?

For the root > you could actually just add it to the Code Inserter Module for insertion into the head tag, but, we have not integrated this into SEO Ultimate on a page by page basis.

Add your language and it should work fine <link rel="alternate" href="https://example.com" hreflang="en-us=" />

This is a great idea though so, we can add this as a new feature once we burn through the backlog.

You can add hreflang tag easily by using this plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/language-selector-related/
