• I’m building a marketplace for goods and services and it began daunting on me that I may overload one website by the time it scales. so I want to have two websites, one for the marketplace the other for the business directory.

However, I want people to be able to search for businesses on the marketplace website, but it would just display the search results on the business directory website. How can I set this up?

A prime example is angielist, the search begins on the main site, but you are routed to a subdomain to see the results

  • Sounds like you may need to look into building a custom plugin, unless you are using multisite. If you are using multisite I’ve seen this accomplished without custom plugins, though I am not exactly sure how.
