How can I back up all my posts, data, etc.?

Hi there,
It happen to me a few times now that I lost all my posts I made over time on my blog and other data after I got trouble with my web host. My web host changed a few days ago my IP. address and all my WP files got deleted!
I uploaded all files from my computer to my web host again, but this doesn’t resolved the issue regarding my posts I lost. Uploading files will restore my theme and installing WP again.
Do I need here to make a back up of MySQL database in order to make sure I can keep my posts all the time?
