Hi, this is the 4th time that my Adsense account has been limited for invalid traffic and I would like to know if it is possible to block all visits referred from Facebook through Wordfence temporarily. I have read that many Adsense penalties referring to invalid traffic are solved by avoiding for a while the traffic from social networks until the web starts to compensate it with organic traffic. I would like to know if it is possible to block any visit that comes to my website from Facebook through Wordfence… Thanks!

Hi @elevas33, thanks for getting in touch!

If you want to block traffic where the referral headers come from a specific domain try this:

    1) Go to Wordfence > Firewall > Blocking
    2) Choose a Custom Pattern
    3) Put *facebook.com* for the Referrer
    4) Put anything for the block reason

This can be removed in future after you’ve run tests on whether this prevents the Adsense limiting. This method of course can also be used for other IPs or referers in future for similar issues from other sources.

You could also try unchecking Facebook under Wordfence > All Options > Advanced Firewall Options > Allowlisted services.

Let me know how you get on.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
