How can I change featured areas of homepage using a child theme?

Hi everybody,

I have done some adjustments to to homepage featured area editing the file 02.homepage.php in the ../wp-content/themes/minamaze/admin/main/options folder of the parent theme.

Unfortunately I am not able to implement those changes using my child-theme. I have tried many ways, but was not able to succeed. A research in this forum showed me that I am not the only one with this issue.

Did anyone find a solution on how to change the 02.homepage.php or the other files in the folder using the child-theme? I really would appreciate any help.
