IE6 ? doesn’t work with transparent png images

to style individual letters of your title, you could try to change the ‘normal, automatic’ title, which looks somewhat like this:
<h1 id="header"><a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>/"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h1>
(depending on the theme) – into something like this (just for instance) (you need to enter your blog title manually):

<h1 id="header"><a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>/"><span class="a">A</span>rch<span class="i">i</span>nteye</a></h1>
i.e. you would wrap each letter, that you want to style diffrent, into a span with a different class. you can then style the classes in style.css:

h1 span.a {color:#123456; font-size:120%; font-style:italic; }
h1 span.i {color:#6789ab; font-weight:bold; }

etc. – you get the idea ??
