In English the date format is: december 21th 2000 or 12-21-2000, but in Dutch (and other languages) it is: 21-12-2000. Now I get the message: Please enter a valid date. I use a text field because I do not want to use the UI datepicker: [text* birthday class:date]

How can I change the date format validation? first day, second month, third year.

    Hello Jonathan,

Currently, the jQuery Validation for Contact Form 7 plugin only supports English date validation, so formats like MM-DD-YYYY are the default. Unfortunately, this means that validations for other date formats, such as DD-MM-YYYY used in Dutch and other languages, aren’t available at this time.

ok, thank for the reply! Can this be made possible in the future?

    Hi Jonathan,

Adding support for different date formats like DD-MM-YYYY is definitely on our radar. We’ll aim to include it in a future release.

    Thanks
