How can I check DB setup ?

    I have new installed the german version of wordpress, made configuration, used widgets and installed plugin xLanguage.

    Now I wanted to install a plugin that use DB tables. I get this message: “NextGEN Gallery : Tables could not created, please check your database settings”. Some table were created. But I still get this message.

    How can I check my database. It would be great to be able to do a general database check.

    In the config file I use big letters in the table prefix e.g. Bwp_
    Can this be a problem? The table have only small letters in the DB.

    I tried to use the plugin WP Security Scan to change the table prefix, but also this did not work.
