How can I config the .htaccess file?

  • Hello,
    I would like to add this lines into the htaccess file, but it doesnt work.. When I upload the new htaccess file, I see the 404-error message.

    <Files wp-login.php>
  AuthName "Admin"
  AuthType Basic
  AuthUserFile /abcd/abc/.htpasswd
  require valid-user
</Files>

<FilesMatch "(.htaccess|.htpasswd|wp-config.php|readme.html)">
  order deny,allow
  deny from all
</FilesMatch>

    For future updates: Is it possible to add a config option for the htaccess file with your plugin?
