How can I configure the Paypal Standard gateway to use my sandbox account?

Hey @cek510 – It sounds like you’re really close to what you need in order to test PayPayl Standard. You need to include your PayPal sandbox* email within the settings page then ensure Give is in “Test” mode. Then when you’re taken to PayPal’s test checkout page make sure you use a different test account to make the donation. The same test account can’t be used for paying for a donation as the account accepting it. This means you need one for the “buyer” (donor) and one for the “seller” (organization). Much appreciated! That did the trick. I will only say that I think the Give documentation could be clearer on the interaction between the Paypal sandbox and Test mode. I didn’t see anywhere that it mentioned the sandbox at all.

One further question: When I completed the transaction in the sandbox, my browser did not return to the donation page on my site. Is that expected behavior? The Give Donations screen shows the transaction as complete.
