How can I delete a consent configuration?

after delete folder of plugin in wp-content\plugins\wp-gdpr-compliance was the problem solved.

It should be nice if we can just deactivate plugin. Maybe because a had a second cookie plugin: cookie consent?

I got below error in plugin area of wordpress after removing above folder

“The plug-in wp-gdpr-compliance / wp-gdpr-compliance.php is deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.”

Sound more like a caching issue. When a plugin is gone, it is gone.
Please empty any caches you have (hint: autooptimize).

Also, you should always create a seperate issue for not-related problems.

i delete all cache also, did not help for me

I had an issue, when I created a “test” consent with this plugin. Even, when I disabled the consens. The cookie bar of this plugin was still shown.

Had to delete the create consens in the database to “solve” this issue.

@adrian2k7; That’s technically impossible. The files are not loaded when the plugin is deactivated or even removed (since the files are not located on the server anymore). However, if you have any caching plugin, it is quite possible that the bar is still shown, since it’s the cached version. Just empty the cache.

@altatech; Just uninstall the plugin via the official way. Not by removing the directory from the server, as this won’t trigger the Uninstall script. The uninstall script removes all settings, databases, etc. used in the plugin. Make sure to empty your cache after removing it.

Yes, install it again. After that, just uninstall the plugin via the admin panel. This should trigger the uninstall script.

i have an new cookie consent script running at this moment. do i need delete the script in the header before this action? https://alta-ict.nl/privacy/
