    Moi,

actually, WP Statistics on my website has always been GDPR-compliant by encrypting the ends of the IP addresses of the website visitors. Now, however, WP Statistics shows me that I am supposed to have turned on the “Store Entire User Agent String” function. I have no idea how this can be. I didn’t have activated this function by myself and I already switched it “off” again.

Now my question: How can I retroactively anonymize the collected data?

    Hi @suomi82,

    Thank you for reaching out!

To delete recorded user agent strings, simply navigate to Statistics > Optimization > Data Cleanup > Clear User Agent Strings. Here is an image for your reference: https://i.vgy.me/BMZ2Nb.png.

Additionally, we recommend utilizing the Privacy Audit feature to ensure that your current WP Statistics settings align with best practices for data privacy. You can learn more about the Privacy Audit here: https://wp-statistics.com/resources/privacy-audit/.

If you have further questions or need assistance, feel free to let us know.

    Best regards,
    Matthew
