Just don’t include the pages in the index in the Relevanssi indexing settings. That way you won’t get any pages in the results.

This is what I did and I do get pages in search results!
    What should I do?

It sounds like your search results are not powered by Relevanssi at all. You can confirm this by trying the Relevanssi admin search (Dashboard > Admin search). Does that return you pages?

If the admin search gives you pages and you’re sure you’ve indexed the database with pages excluded, that means there’s a problem somewhere.

If the admin search doesn’t return any pages, then the problem is your theme: it’s not using Relevanssi. Which theme are you using?

There is probably a certain problem.
    It is not clear what.
Can you give me a line of code to put in the function of the theme that will cause the pages to be excluded?

By the way, you may not know, but if you set the search as admin it creates glitches in the elementor. Because it is impossible to search things within an elementor

There’s no line of code that will fix this. Did you try the Relevanssi admin search (not the WP admin search, but specifically the Relevanssi admin search in Dashboard > Admin search)? Did it get you the right results?

Since you’re using Elementor, if you have followed these instructions to customize your search results page, that search results page doesn’t use Relevanssi. It just can’t. You need to use the default WP search results template in order to get Relevanssi results.

You did not understand what I said about a malfunction in Elementor.

This happens when the search is set to Administrator

Yes, I did understand. That is a known issue that can be solved by disabling admin searches in Relevanssi. I generally don’t recommend that feature anyway, using the Relevanssi Admin Search is always a better idea as it interferes with nothing and works more reliably.

So do you recommend using admin search or not?
    (Getting lost…)

There are two different things, which are being confused.

    1) There’s the Relevanssi Admin Search (Dashboard > Admin search). This is the recommended admin search tool with Relevanssi. This is what I’ve been talking about all the time.

    2) Using Relevanssi for admin search (Settings > Relevanssi > Searching > Use Relevanssi for admin searches). This you cannot use with Elementor, and I’m not recommending using this in other cases either.

So, now: if you do a search with Relevanssi Admin Search, do you get the pages in the results or not?
