I would like to get rid of the left sidebar. I am using the spapress theme.

I tried deleting the info in the left sidebar file. The information in the middle got extended to the left like I want. But, The background image is still the same, showing the sidebar.

How can I change the background image to get rid of the left sidebar?

    Thank you.

  • Hey ezra2012,

Bad news, I’m afraid. The theme developer kind of locked you into the 3 column layout with this Spapress theme. There is a template for a “Page without sidebar” however, they failed to remove the content-top.png and content-bottom.png so not only do you get ZERO sidebars, you also get the top and bottom of that three-column background image.

This is probably fixable by the original theme developer, so maybe give them a shout out?

    Cheers! :)

Thank you, I was thinking that I could edit the images then get rid of the coding in the left sidebar file.

I did leave a request for help on their forum earlier.

    Thanks.

    Will you check the site:

I changed content-bottom and content-top successfully. But, I can’t figure out how to change the other vertical line. Any ideas?
