How can I get the event id depending on its category name?

    Hi,
    I need to get the id of the event with a given category name, I’ve studied the wordpress codex, I know how to get the post by category_name but I don’t know how to get the id of that post (I only need the date of the event post, not the full post, I use the post id with tribe_get_start_date), or even if I’m on a good path to get what I need.
