How can i have a nice wordpress blog?

  • Ok, This might some dumb but:
    I haven’t updated my wordpress for a while since:
    [*] I can’t find no good templates that people like. (Trying to find a XP template)
    [*] Some features that i want in 1.2.1 aren’t in it.
    [*] Comment spam (ex; No flood protection)
    [*] Hard to create new blocks.
    How can i improve all that?…
    I’m using https://www.alexking.org/software/wordpress/styles/sample.php?wpstyle=rubric right now…Please help me find a good layout and the other things i included ;).

    You can find a bunch of premade templates at the Codex, Wiki, or through Google.
    I’ve heard that root’s templates were pretty easy to customize. I’m currently using Kubrick, though, but it’s just a matter of uploading a couple of files to totally change that.
    Whatever features you might want could possibly be made into a plugin. If you haven’t already, check the Wiki Plugin page.
    What do you mean when it’s “hard to create new blocks”?
