How can I have different author names on 1 multi site installation?

  • I’m stuck with developing new wordpress websites, because I can’t find the option too change the author name on a different wordpress multi-site installation. My second blog is showing the same author name as my first blog.

    Could someone explain me how I change the author name on different blogs?

  • You have to use different usernames. Users are global across the network, same as wordpress.com is.

    The usernames are different, I need to change the author name but I can’t when I map a new domain to WPMU. Could you enlighten this a bit further? I don’t understand how can that be the solution. Thanks

    Go to the admin area of the mapped domain. login as the username you want displayed different. Visit the user’s porfile page.

    She the “display name as” field?

    If the usernames are different… then… why are they showing the same author name? That is pulled from whomever wrote the post.

    Thank you for the fast reply.
    Okay when i’m in the edit user, the ‘display name publicly as’ setting is set to my preferred author name. But the posts on my site still show the author name of another blog on my wpmu installation. I have also granted the site super admin privilege. What should I do to change this I can’t figure it out.
