How can I include custom post type taxonomies in permalinks?
-
Firstly, thank you for an incredibly powerful plugin. I’ve gotten further with CPT-onomies than with the other plugins I’ve tried. I worked out how to set up custom permalinks for my CPTs (this is what I did in that case: https://www.patrickcatanzariti.com/2014/01/wordpress-permalinks-for-custom-post-types-in-cpt-onomies/), however now I need to do something a bit more advanced and I’m a bit confused as to how to do it!
I’m setting up a section on the site for comics, each comic is part of an episode. So what I’d like to have is a permalink structure like so:
https://www.site.com/comic/episode-one/comic-titleI’ve got comics linked to episodes using CPT-onomies a-okay. The first comic post is linked to episode one, I just don’t know how to include that linkage in its URL. My URL at the moment is stuck at:
https://www.site.com/comic/comic-titleThe hope is to then be able to include prev-next links to each comic in the series, going from each episode automatically (e.g. the final post for episode one should click next and go to the first post for episode two).
Is this something that can be set up nicely in CPT-onomies? Are there any good examples out there of how to do it? I’ve been Googling and experimenting for quite a while and I’m afraid I’m lost!
Thank you in advance for your help ??
Patrick
