How can I keep footer at the bootom of the page

Hi there,
great theme as always.
My question is is there a way to keep footer at the bottom (sticky footer)?
As I am working offline, I cannot provide a link at the moment.
I am using child theme and the only changes I’ve made so far are some font colours and sizes, so basically this doesn’t affect theme functionality.
I know that the themes are made to work with a lot of content in mind, but I’ve noticed the footer staying in the middle of the page when I tried to use the search and no results were return. I can live with that but it doesn’t look very good. Check the screenshot.
I’ve tried some solutions posted for WordPress on this topic, but can’t get it to work properly on sorbet, so any help or advise appreciated.
