How can i make the sidebar “inline”

are you wanting to put it in a header or something?
i’m not sure why you’d want to list things “inline” in the sidebar (inline usually means horizontally, and wouldn’t make sense for a sidebar much)

please show us an example of what you’re talking about?

Do keep in mind that if you use the template tag for linklists in your sidebar this gives you no choice but to generate nested lists unless you hack core (stupid, huh? that’s gotta be a holdover from wp 1.2, I swear.) so it might be wise not to have link lists if you use this treatment, since nested horizontal lists are gonna be a bear and probably won’t work well for you.

1) copy all the code from sidebar.php
2) presuming you understand css layout and have a design all ready for it, you’d paste it into a footer.php file
3) modify the relevant css to change how sidebar ul and li tags (even nested ones) are rendered… to float the list items.

You have to have a pretty good understanding of CSS and xhtml. Expert, actually. Which means you have to edit style.css

Otherwise, I’d suggest finding a theme that already uses a horizontal navigation layout.
