How can I make the topbar logo wider ?

Hi lewgard. Try adding this to your child theme style.css file:

@media only screen and (min-width: 720px) {
    #nav-topbar .nav li:first-child {
        width: 250px;
    }
}

Thank you for the replies. I made this work by:

1) adding the code as indicated above and
2) removing the styling I had in my .css file for the main navigation bar (which I am no longer using).
