How can I make the_excerpt capture the first paragraph?

  • I know that the_excerpt can capture a number of characters, while the_content captures basically the entire post.

    For my website, I have a paragraph introducing the article, then I have an image or more, then I include more text for some images, if any.

    I want the excerpt or content to only capture the very first paragraph that I post. Nothing more nothing less, no matter how many characters it contains.

    Is there a way to do this?
