• I’ve been trying to get help with this situation for quite some time and the silence is deafening. Where can I go to get some paid help? Please! Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

  • i tell you, sometimes this free opensource stuff can be crap. there’s like a mountainload of info here but that’s the problem, there’s a mountainload of it. it takes me sooo long to find the info i need. sometimes i think its best to have a paid service and you just go to their forums and post your question and a rep from that company will answer your question. this wordpress stuff is too DIY. i still can’t get the answer to my questions either.

Why isn’t there a phone number to contact a PERSON here? I don’t do computer stuff for a living but my site was set up by someone who said I could fix this stuff easy it’s a ‘learning curve’ it’s NOT.
I want someone to walk me thru an emergency on the phone and not talk to me like I’m an idiot. Like Apple will.

Why isn’t there a phone number to contact a PERSON here?

Post a job request on the link esmi provided or hire the person who set up your site to provide you with phone support.

Apple charges for its products, WordPress doesn’t.

My Site Designer has ‘moved on’ and never trained me to work on this she is unavailable. The 6 other IT people I know have no idea how WordPress works.

Btw fonglh, you could be a bit less rude in answering. Forums are not for attitude.

I would pay WordPress directly for a phone call but apparently cant.

for such a popular site like wordpress and a huge community it certainly has one of the most non-helpful forums. esmi in particular, who i suppose is some type of admin here, is particularly non-helpful. this whole process has sucked my excitement out of starting a blog. free definitely isn’t always better. i know there’s a ton of help topics out there but why do i have to read pages and pages of stuff just to know what buttons to click?

The 6 other IT people I know have no idea how WordPress works.

Then I suggest you start here.
