• I just did a small test and downloaded my site with a “site grabber” program. A program to download websites for offline browsing.

Damn. Everything was open for download. My plugg inns, my themes…
    How can I prevent this?
    is there a plugg in?

    kind regards
    Jurgen

If your plugins & themes can be downloaded – ie the actual .php files, then you have a misconfigured web server and should contact your hosting company for support in getting it set up correctly.

If your config.php can also be downloaded, you should change your database password as soon as the issue is sorted.

What grabber program were you using?

I would normally ask for the URL of the site to be able to check it, however it probably wouldn’t a good idea to post it in a public forum if the server allows the .php files to be downloaded.

    ?? indeed.. no url
The php files are not downloaded. The config also is not being downloaded. But a lot of other files are. Images, etc…..

I tried two sites one from one.com and an other one hoted on go daddy. The same result. To much info is downloadable..

    I used sitesucker for mac…

If the php files cannot be downloaded, but the images and text can – anything which a typical visitor to the site will be able to see can, this sounds normal and there is no problem.
