How can I put an image scroller in the excerpt of a sticky post?

Hi,

I know how to set up an image scroller plugin to work within a post, by adding the shortcode, but I would like the actual scroller – and images – to show as a sticky post. I imagine I need to put something in the excerpt box, but I have no idea what. With the various plugins I tested, I tried putting the shortcode in the excerpt box, but it did not work.

I use the Esplanade theme, my blog is https://www.ewomanweb.com. There is a slider included with this theme, but it is too large for my taste.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
