How can I retrieve particular fields of a post value using default query?

  • Hi guys,

    I really need your help to retrieve some selected fields of a particular post using default WordPress functions like query_posts or get_posts etc. Actually what I need is, display some fields like post_title,excerpt and id, but if I am using above functions, it will return a big array of all post data. I don’t want this, I need above mentioned fields in the returning array. Is there any way to retrieve particular post data via these kinds of functions.Is this possible guys. Any help appreciated.
