How can I use HTML like or in post title?

Hi,

I am using a custom theme called ApeMag. Whenever I type my title with <i>italic tags</i> it shows the full tags on the front end. How can I get wordpress to output the post title those characters italics instead of showing the HTML? It seems like this should be easy, but I’m stumped…
