Hello. In Wordfence settings, I have required 2FA for all admins (screenshot). After, I created a new admin user. When that user tried to login for the first time, he was met with an error, “Login Blocked: 2FA is required…” (screenshot). How can I resolve this?

    Thanks.

  • Hi @cag8f,

What you should do is allow a grace period for new users to add 2FA to their account.

Go into Wordfence -> Login Security -> Settings -> Grace period to require 2FA:

Set the date to a few days later, and now your new account should be able to login.

@wfdave OK thanks for that. So what happens if, after the grace period expires, the new user still has not added/configured 2FA on their account? Will the new user be able to login? At that point, what will be required for the new user to login?

    Hi again,

If after the grace period expires, and the user hasn’t added 2FA, they won’t be able to login to their account. They will then need to contact an administrator to remove the 2FA restriction on their account (or extend the grace period).
