How can we change IP to Domain name in the wordpress server

  • Hi folks,

    I have imported a wordpress blog on a new server and now i am able to access that blog and WordPress control panel with that server IP.

    I imported it on LAMP.

    So everything is working. As it is our testing blog and i want to access the blog with some domain name lets say testblog.com

    If i change the ip with above url within the siteurl and webist then i loose the access to the control panel of wordpress.

    Please advise how can i do it.

    Does the A record for testblog.com point to your WordPress IP address? That’s the first step. (Note: you’ll also need a CNAME to that for “www.”.)

    Once you have that, install the plugin “better search replace”. Search fur the current URL (e.g., https://123.123.123.123/) and replace with your domain name (e.g.,https://example.com).
