how can we intergrate a phpbb3 that is on an other server ?

  • just wandering how i can integrate phpbb3 that is hosted on a different server then my wordpress server ?

    in the config its asking for Path – Absolute path to phpBB folder … wich even if i add it it cant interact with it as its on a different server.. would be nice that have a way to add a option to ass phpbb that are on other servers then the Wp. i had to split my phpbb to a new server as it had a high traffic so i migrate it to a new server that is boosted for speeding up phpbb only. so i cant add Wp on it.

    Cross domain integration can be achieved, but are these two servers https?
    Cross domain integration can be secure at moment, only using https.
    Another user, little time ago asked and kindly offers his servers to test out a version with option for cross domain.
    Unfortunately at moment i’ve not find out the time to take a look into. As soon i can i will do.

    p.s: about profiles and other topic about url or others fields update:
    fixing it (fixed) i’ve discover that on phpBB ACP is possible to add custom fields, named on phpBB db as you like: this is +- amazing, because open a very interesting possiblity. Add fields, for plugins, or all default wp profile fields that we want, naming these as we like in phpBB, and in wp_w3all with easy.

    cross domain integration mean/is just a modification to code to get data between different servers. It need to be coded in wp_w3all in case.
    But to be secure, a cross domain integration, need servers connections over https
