How can we remove the “please update now” banner

  • I’ve spent 3 days trying to upgrade and I’ve had it, it isn’t working. How can I get this banner off my dashboard?

    First it was the freezing when downloading the core thing. So after reading here I deleted the plug in. Thought that would do the trick and now I’m getting this error message about permissions. And I’ll be honest I just don’t get what the replies mean to fix it:
