    410 is generally used for content that is not found but which has existed.

    I’m not sure what you mean by “threaten” 410? Do you want to return a 410 status to the user or did you mean “how to treat 410”?

    But either way 301 Redirects doesn’t handle 410 errors. In WordPress those are only returned by the REST API for deleted comments and templates. So you will need to do it via .htaccess I guess.

    410 is for content deleted is a redirect code. And is a best practice to put a 410 code when you remove content.
    missing that in your plugin, can you add it or have some work around ?
