    Hello Roderik,

    • Which version of WooCommerce do you use?
    • Normally WooCommerce automatically includes variation options in the product name. How is this currently displayed in the WooCommerce emails (screenshot)?
    • What do you see in the WooCommerce backend product listing for this order (screenshot)?

You can show product attributes separately (documentation here), but I think it’s better to solve this at the root cause first!

    Hi Ewout,

Thanks for the follow up! I have the awnsers to your question:

    * We use WC 2.6.9
    * This is the email people get after making an order. It is showing the SKU of the variation but not 150ML (in this case)
    * This is what i see in the Backend: https://www.screencast.com/t/clj5LE2Ymqa A variation number. It belongs to the variation. See: https://www.screencast.com/t/mpjnpEDIs65k

If you need anything else, please tell me. And thanks again for helping me out here.

    Best regards!

    Roderik

I see – with WooCommerce 2.6.9 the variation isn’t part of the product name yet, but normally stored as item meta (so in the backend it would be shown above the SKU and variation ID). I have no idea why this is not the case with your product configuration. But it seems that this issue is already happening higher upstream in the ordering process. I checked the Aquariumwarenhuis site and when I add something to the cart it doesn’t show the variation there either (not in the shopping cart and not in the checkout). I think a plugin or something in your theme is suppressing/removing this data.

    Hoi Ewout,

    Bedankt weer!

    Hello Roderik,
Since this is an English forum, I suggest to keep the convo in English (I only make exceptions if there’s an emergency situation).

This could be literally anything, I would indeed recommend to turn off plugins one by one (on a staging copy of the site). Following the documentation link for showing product attributes you could still get the data on the invoice, but I bet you would prefer to actually have this showing in the cart & checkout too. For that reason I would recommend approaching the problem from that angle first!
