How come I can’t pick anymore categories?

Is there some way that people can pick the category that their post go in or is one category all you get?

Just so no one is confused by what I’m asking.

When I create a category, there is no way I can select it. I can only write in my default category. I was wondering what could be the problem.

Maybe there’s a problem on the set-up of your page. Try to contact the admin in that case, or you can also email the wordpress team.

The closest I came to contacting someone is https://www.ads-software.com/report-bugs/ and that’s just for reporting bugs on wordpress’ site.

It doesn’t even matter which theme I use, could it be the the list cats thing? I haven’t changed it.

Why can’t you select it? All your post categories should be displayed on the Write page, with check boxes next to them. Check the categories you want on the post.

Are you certain that those categories do actually exist? Check the Manage > Categories screen to make sure they’re all there. If not, add them and make sure they get added.
