    Hi,

I’m new to WordPress, so don’t know the conventions yet. (sorry if I ask simple q’s)

    a) I installed OK
    b) I created 2 stories (thinging they were events that would appear on a timeline )
    c) I created a page and entered your shortcode. Previewed it and realised I was wrong about the 2 stories ;-(

How do I create (and date) the events that will appear in one of my 2!stories?

    Tks

Hi @darkglass, thanks, but reluctant to give live url to the whole www ??
Will do if really necessary though.

I’ve taken a screen-shot, but don’t know how to include it here.

More playing/trial&error seems to suggest Stories ARE the events that appear on the timeline. I’ve added a 3rd story, but each appears story on a separate page (i.e page x of 3)
I’ve also managed to get an image to appear, by making it a ‘featured’ image. Is this the correct way?

But i’ve not been able to enter the ‘Date’ for each story. Currently it’s using the created date/time (and they are only minutes appart ??

Thanks @darkglass, much as I’m new to WordPress, I’ve never experienced fiverr at all!
And selected this app as it has great reviews for capabilities AND support.

I’ve now changed the shortcut on the paage from:
    [cool-timeline layout=”default” animation=”FadeInOut” date-format=”F j” icons=”YES” show-posts=”10″]
{which is the example of their ‘Description’ page.)
    to
    [cool-timeline]
and the 3 ‘Stories’ now appear on the ONE page.

The only issue I am left with is how to set a (timeline) Date for each story.

I’ll wait for a solution for this, meantime I’ll get on with other development issues/opportunities.

Happened to notice that if I do a ‘Quick Edit’ on each Story, there is Date – which seems to be the date used on the Timeline.
Didn’t see this field on a (full?) ‘Edit’!

    Hi @gretche,

Actually Story Publish date shows on the timeline.

There is Publish immediately Edit option on right side on each Story.
You can change story date by clicking on Edit(Publish immediately Edit) option.

Feel free to conatct us if you need any further assistance.

    Thanks

Thanks @baljitdhanjal – I see the Date field, now that you’ve pointed it out. I didn’t notice it before, and I guess I’m not the first not to notice it (but then I would think this wouldn’t I).

I’ve got the s’ware working fine now, and like it. Well done & thanks.

However, IMHO your instructions for 1st use could do with expandtion, & I notice you have a video, but this is tucked away in the ‘pro’ section.

    It’s my pleasure!

We have also pointed out these date settings in plugin screenshots. Please check all screenshots.

Hope you would like our plugin and support.
I would greatly appreciate if you kindly give your valuable feedback.

    Thanks In Advance
